The Corporate Controller position will report directly to the CEO and have the responsibility to lead the accounting department. This position ensures that the fiscal functions of the corporation are performed in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and other applicable guidelines, regulations, and laws. The controller acts as the lead on many financial matters to the leadership team. Work requires a high degree of independent judgment and is highly variable and complex, requiring interpretation of needs, guidelines, policies, procedures, and precedents. In this position, the person will have extensive contacts throughout the organization from peers to executives. This position supervises exempt and non-exempt staff.

As the controller for Triangle Services, you will be responsible for all accounting, tax, and treasury functions in partnership with the CFO. You will maintain and establish policies and will direct/oversee the following to ensure success:

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the organization's accounting function and performance.
  • Manage and direct the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely completion aligned with GAAP
  • Manage the AR, Billing, and AP functions and ensure timely and effective cash management
  • Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
  • Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline.
  • Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.
  • Lead the annual audit process and act as the key liaison with our external auditors
  • Lead the company through an ERP evolution as we migrate away from JDE to either Sage Intacct or NetSuite. Design and implement the new system with a focus on meeting the needs of the 4 Triangle divisions and ensuring a system with flexibility and ease of use.
  • Exercise a high degree of professionalism and self-motivation using personal initiative to identify and recommend best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations
