SUMMARY

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the production in the warehouse. This role will demonstrate highly effective and advanced time management, organizational and planning capabilities, strong attention to efficiency and provide exceptional internal and external customer satisfaction.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties may be assigned.

          ·    Read, interpret, and understand the work order completely and plan work to ensure meeting of customer specifications, including reviewing materials that are going to be used for the project matching those specified on the work order.

          ·    Effectively communicate status of work in process to Plant Manager and/or Customer Service.

          ·    Work with Plant Manager to make sure that all required preventative maintenance on machinery is done on schedule and in a timely manner and work through any problems that arise with the performance of any of the machines.

          ·    Maintain all forklifts keeping them clean and in safe operating conditions. Monitor that all warehouse and receiving employees are completing the SAFTY-D001 Daily Inspection Log.

          ·    Load and unload materials onto or off trucks as needed.

          ·    Ensure your team verifies counts, weights, measurements, and descriptions of incoming shipments and matches against the bills of lading, packing slips, internal paperwork and/or other records.

          ·    Ensure your team examines incoming shipments for damage; reject damaged items and record shortages. Make a note of damages and shortages on packing slip/bill of lading.

          ·    Ensure your team labels, stores, and properly distributes all incoming material.

          ·    Keep company vehicles clean and in safe operating order. Ensure company vehicle is regularly serviced and maintain records of the service.

          ·    Make recommendations to improve workflow, quality, efficiency, safety, and suggestions to eliminate the 8 forms of waste: in turn reducing operating problems and improving product quality within your work areas.

          ·    Enforce all safety rules while employees are operating, maintaining set-ups, changing parts, or otherwise working on the shop floor.

          ·    Work with Finance and your team to manage inventory of materials including paper and envelopes.

          ·    Manage internal and external courier needs as necessary.

          ·    Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used in accordance with Content Critical Solutions procedures.

          ·    Make sure that employees maintain a neat and orderly area. Assist in general housekeeping in common areas abiding by the 6S methodologies.

          ·    Treat employees with respect and courtesy.

          ·    Perform all reasonable requests from upper management.

          ·    Read, understand, and comply with all written work instructions.

          ·    Work as a team and participate in Content Critical Solutions efforts to ensure continuous improvement of processes, methodologies, productivity, and quality while reducing costs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has supervisory responsibilities over the warehouse.


QUALIFICATIONS

          ·    Able to understand written and verbal instructions in English.

          ·    Able to handle a rapid paced work environment.

          ·    Must have at least intermediate Excel/Office/Word skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

          ·    High School diploma or GED. 

          ·    Prior experience working in direct mail manufacturing preferred but not required.

          ·    Prior experience operating a forklift.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

          ·    Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondences, and memos.

          ·    Ability to verbally communicate effectively with coworkers and Supervisor.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

          ·    Ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

          ·    Able to be on your feet 8 hours per day.
